Long arm quilting another customer quilt

I recently finished quilting a customer’s T-shirt quilt

It was a BIG quilt!

I don’t mind quilting T-shirt quilts but I often get asked if I could make some for people and I turn them down.

To me they are boring and once you start ironing the interfacing/stabilizer onto the back of them, all the old smells come out of the shirts!

So quilting them is fine, it doesn’t matter what I long arm quilt!

It’s fun to see the shirt designs

One shirt had  appliqued or thick felt letters on it but the long arm went over it smoothly 🙂

The customer was very happy with it!

  1. You are so right, they are boring. I’ve only made one Tshirt quilt. It was for my nephew’s High School graduation. I couldn’t stand that business of ironing the interfacing onto the tshirt fabric. Then when that was complete, you just added a few pieces of fabric to make a block. Yuck! No fun at all. (Somehow, NON-quilters think Tshirt quilts are great, though. They have no clue.) You did a great job quilting!
