Accuquilt GO! Quilt Challenge 2014

I am SEW excited about this challenge!!

accuquilt go challenge

Around Thanksgiving I started thinking about a Quilt Along or a Challenge for 2014 and I knew that there’s a very successful rainbow one already. Then I thought of my GO! dies and contacted accuquilt and asked them about sponsoring this challenge and to be part of it Smile

Now they stepped above and beyond of what I had expected!!!

I was first referred to the NEW page and told to pick out some of the dies…

Guess what I got!!!

One of each of the new dies to play with….

I was beyond thrilled, it’s like early Christmas here.

THANK YOU SO much to Accuquilt!!

Okay, so here the idea (and I won’t start until January 15th)

Each month on the 15th I’ll post a challenge of 2-3 dies, then the following month YOU (and me) will make something using those dies and link up!

I’ll also show layout ideas from EQ (whenever possible)

It should be VERY inspirational!!

Here’s a list of my “old” dies (some I haven’t even used yet)

-sorry they are a mess, someone LIKES to play with them-

I am looking forward to following along… I don't have a Go yet but I've started a list of reasons I need one! And adding ideas for dies to buy so this will be perfect.

  2. OOH Love this! I just got the AccuQuilt GO this weekend from the DH for an early xmas present. I just have the starter die but ordered the Drunken Path and I have a friend I can borrow from hers from. I bought the EQ7 earlier in the year but just haven't had time to play with it. Teach me Teach me!!! Thanks Plus I'm anxious to add to my die stash so it will be an awesome reason to buy more this year:)

  3. I look forward to seeing what you create. I'm sure it will be beautiful and inspirational.SewCalGalwww.sewcalgal.blogspot.com

  4. This should be a lot of fun. I am excited for you to begin. Great idea!!

  5. Just off the top of my head: starter die, funky flower, circles, drunkard's path and isosceles triangle.

  6. What great new dies you have Bea!! Can't wait to see what you create with them! I really like my Go Baby and just bought a Go!

I have several dies, I can't list them now because the list is at my studio. I would love to follow along with this. Congrats on getting the new dies.

  8. Oh bea! You're incredible! Awesome. Favor can you list the number of the die (easier to order or what I have in stock lol!). I can't wait.

This sounds so interesting that I may ignore my "no new projects for 2014" pledge. I'd like to see something using the Dresden Plate and Kaleidoscope dies.

  10. Love the idea! Just got into AQ with Celtic Solstice – no fave die yet, but whatever I have, I'll join in (mainly the 12 inch block die package. Thanks!

My husband would love to see me using my accuquilt more often than I have. I have the 12 inch die set, hexagon 2, 3, 5, 5 inch square, 2 1/2 inch square, and the 2 1/2 x 41/2 rectangle.
