Two quilt in Quilt it today magazine!! and giveaway

I got a UPS box today and there were TWO quilts returned from Quilt it today and two magazines!

The first one is a winding ways quilt!

I used my Go! cutter for this one

 Close up of the quilting

I had extra pieces too so I made some pot holders

Here’s how I assembled the blocks

A bit “tricky’ to deal with curves but using the Go! cutter, it has notches and if you just pin a bunch it’ll be okay 🙂

I think you saw a post earlier about how I made a pin cushion too from left over pieces

And here’s the yummy fabrics from Connecting threads!

Rhapsody of Reds

The 2nd Quilt is this fun Thomas the Train Quilt

I quilted train tracks all over it, though I did a squiggly line for the tracks instead of straight lines

here’s the fabrics from VIP fabrics

And the blocks laid out and ready to sew

I also sent them my kids Thomas the train tracks to use for the pictures

And I made a string tie bag- using Jenni Baker’s tutorial

Here’s the pictures from the magazine!!

Want a little giveaway??

I got two magazines, so I’m keeping one and will give the other one away!

(May/June 2013)

I also have a few scraps leftover from the Winding ways quilt, some odd shaped scraps and then my daughter wanted to play with the Go! cutter one day, so she cut out some cats- sorry no interfacing.

If you want a copy of this magazine and these scraps.

Be a follower and comment below

(no hurt feelings if you write that you just want the magazine!)

I’ll pick a winner friday.
