I was looking at my precuts recently and found this tiger and animal layer cake bundle from Connecting threads (I think??)
I grabbed my Tides at Twilight pattern and some solid black fabric and made this quilt that finished 40″ x 50″ and I made mine with the 8″ QUBE set
I had to be a bit creative about which colors were light and which were dark, but it all worked out well I think.
I quilted this flame design on it, I think it’s called caliente and the backing is solid orange

If you ever wonder about contrast look at the 2 fabrics together and squint at them through your eyelashes. This helps reduce the color and helps you see which is lighter and if it is enough contrast for the piecing to show up. That is what we are after, after all, isn’t it?
