I know I’m slacking a bit on blog posts, but I’ve been busy with a secret project that needed to be done before Monday, AND Wednesday was Sonja’s birthday, so it took half a day to make her cake 
I made the recipe from scratch, just because I didn’t have a cake box mix.
I found THIS recipe and it was YUMMY!
(didn’t do the sour milk part and reduced the sugar plus I only had semi sweet chocolate)
While decorating the cake the barbie’s right arm fell off, so I busted out the hot glue gun and fixed it, and even now AFTER the cake has been eaten and the barbie being cleaned up, I was able to turn her arm, we’ll see if it lasts…. (May need to buy a new pick anyways and maybe a blonde version)

Did I mention too that I got a shipment of fabrics this week! DROOL!!

I'm drooling over both the cake and the fabric…..grin. The cake is really gorgeous and my birthday is in November…….just kiddin'.
Ah the birthday girl – I remember doing Barbie cakes when my daughter was little (and for her friends). Hmmm – fabric – low calorie yummy!
