Small Glorified Nine Patch table runner quilt is done

I forgot why I picked the Glorified Nine Patch die recently, I think it was because I hadn’t touched it since I made the sample for Accuquilt when the die was released, so I think the die was still in the wrapper when I got it and I just put it on the shelf and “forgot” about it.

It’s a fun and interesting die- no way I’d ever cut these pieces by hand or templates! And the GREAT part is that there’s notches in the curved pieces so it’s easy to match up!

I cut enough of the green and white for 3 blocks and 1 had the colors in the opposite place

I finished it and added more of the purple hummingbird fabric as a border, backing and binding!

The table runner measures 15″ x 33″

I quilted a large leaf E2E design on it in light green thread

I’ve been very busy with secret projects for Accuquilt, cutting out random kits for myself and just happily sewing along!

My fabric stash seems to be depleted again so it’s good to use scraps or leftover yardage for runners like this 🙂

Chewy is fitting in well into our family life- though the CATS would disagree! They are NOT happy with the D-O-G!

  1. Chewy is cute! I tried to leave a message the first time you showed him, but I couldn’t find a way to comment (I guess you’d turned comments off). I’m way behind on blog reading, and I’m trying to catch up.
