I have another scrappy block post to show you.
These are scrappy bowties!
I’ve shown these before, how I’ve been making 2″ bowtie blocks with the 4″ QUBE set (companion set)
then from early on, I decided they would good like a circle block
Now I have all of them done (I think)
now onto the ideas, of course I used EQ8 again to sketch out ideas
I could sew them together as-is and smack a border or two on it.
Or what if I added black or dark BIG bowties from the the 8″ QUBE set? or have them be in color??
It does create an interested sort of butterfly in the white, doesn’t it?
what do you think?
The larger bow ties isn’t my fav. I immediately thought of “nuts and bolts” bow tie is one of my favorite blocks to make, I have 5 bow ties quilts right now. I love playing with layout. Ok, it’s growing on me….
I’m torn, but might still try the larger bowties, we’ll see
