QAL Nighttime by the river sewing more blocks

We’re still sewing the blocks together this week!

How far have you come?

If you cut this with the QUBE sets and want to show your blocks, please join the FB QUBE group if you haven’t already!

If you haven’t finished the blocks, we’ll do them this week, look at the center stars of my blocks! They are fun but some don’t have that much contrast because I did my bundle black, white, black, white etc, so the small star tips are fabric #3 in the pile which would match the background, but it’s okay, it still looks fun at the end!

The background is the same for each block, so here it’s this striped rain/stitch black print so the outer pieces with the same fabric as the background goes with the inner block- just in case you’re confused 😉

Here’s my pile of blocks sewn together

After all the blocks are done (20 or 30) sort them into two piles of light and dark (if you choose to look at the star/corner fabrics or the background fabrics, it doesn’t matter as long as it’s half and half) so 10 or 15 in each pile!

next week we’ll put the top together!

If you still need the pattern, you can buy it here

Do you have to use accu quilter for your patterns? I dont have one but love this pattern

    1. No. You don’t have to, the pattern is for rotary cutting, my earlier blog post just showed what dies to use to cut for accuquilt users.

  2. Interesting how different the “star in a star” block looks with the various color combinations on your pattern page. I had to look twice to confirm they were all the same block.
