I decided to have a Color of the Month, Block of the Month for 2024!
I’ll keep it free (maybe I’ll turn it into a pattern AFTER it’s over, we’ll see)
I’ll be using a QUBE set but only dies 1-8 so easy to also rotary cut!
I’ll give rotary cutting directions for ONE size and the quilt will only use one QUBE size- that doesn’t mean you can’t use a different QUBE size, then your blocks would just be smaller or bigger 🙂
It’ll be all scrappy except the background and borders, but I wouldn’t worry about the borders just yet.
The sample I’ll be making will use the 8″ QUBE set and EQ says the yardage for the background will be 1.5yds, but I think I’ll save 2yds just in case.
Finished quilt size will be 46″ x 58″
(again you can use a bigger QUBE set if you want it bigger or a smaller QUBE set if you want the quilt to be baby sized)
Because the blocks are scrappy, most block are light and dark and maybe a medium plus the background color.
I’ll start the QAL in January, I think mid month on a Monday- depends on how quickly I’ll make the sample blocks! and knowing ME I might make different versions.
