Baja sunset in McCall’s Quilting

Baha-Sunset flat 600px

I have another quilt published in McCall’s Quilting magazine!

It’s called Baja Sunset

(I named it Genesis 9:16)

Cover-200px

Here’s a link to McCall’s showing other quilts in this issue as well

And here’s MINE!!

Smile

Of course I designed this quilt in EQ7!!

McCall’s is listing the directions for some of the blocks as foundation pieced. I did all rotary cut, here’s my box with all of them.

P1010370

The blocks are done and don’t all fit on the design wall.

then sewing all the blocks together

Into rows

One tip I want to share about joining the POINTS, is to have a pin STRAIGHT up thru the layers right on the point, then pinning normally around it on the edges, and then removing the STRAIGHT pin.

P1020005

The center is sewn together

P1020007

P1020008

and border added on

P1020009

And quilted and bound

P1020195

I did a curved quilting design all over

(which was also mentioned in the magazine by Sherri Bain Driver!)

Now who wants a copy of this magazine??

I have TWO copies.

Just comment and let me know!

I’ll pick a winner Friday the 14th

The last few days I’ve gotten LOTS of NO-REPLY blogger comments, not sure if it’s a blogger thing, but make sure there’s a way to reply to you!
