My husband has a few days left before his severance kicks in, he’s applying for jobs every day but there’s NOTHING out there, our biggest “worry” is really health insurance for our family, I know COBRA is going to be expensive.
We’re open to recommendations!
On the home front, we haven’t done that much this week, we went to our friend’s house for dinner one night, Easter Sunday we had my in-laws over for dinner. And Bjorn sang in the church choir on Good Friday
The girls also made pretzels last weekend and I tried my hand at sourdough bread in the bread machine, the pretzels were awesome, my bread was terrible
I had some sour dough starter from a friend and after the first fail I figured I’d try the bread machine again but sort of just add a cup maybe of the sour dough starter instead of all the flour, and it worked!
a regular white load called for 3 and 11/16cup of flour so I added the 3 cups and sort of eyeballed almost a cup of the starter, it was a sticky mess so I knew it wasn’t the whole cup anyways and it tasted great! Didn’t taste like sour dough, but more like a normal loaf of bread.
I used to make bread in the bread machine a lot, years ago, but then stopped, now I might go back to that.

Insurance: Christian health ministries is one option. The other is going to the marketplace to get insurance that is based on your income. You should be able to talk to a human who can help.

There is a Christian based health insurance that is member based. You pay x amount per month and they will pay you medical bills. Anyway that is the way I understand it. My son has used it when he and his family of 6 have been in between jobs that provided insurance.
