2022 Project list week 7

Phew, I almost forgot today’s post! Good thing I woke up early!!

I’m preparing the list for the BOOK blog hop in March- if you want to join, please let me know!! It’s rather small this year!

The weather this week has been up and down, typical NC weather, can’t make up it’s mind if it should be winter or summer! So Hubby gave Chewy at SPA day outside, she doesn’t LOVE it, but feels great afterwards! Last time she was given a bath like this outside I think was when she was in contact with a skunk, she got a bath 3 times in a week, I think, she was NOT happy! Now hopefully she’ll start to remember how good she feels right after!!

Sonja is finishing up a science project about Radish seeds, those things were fun, they sprout in one day! The sonlight science book was by TOPS and each day we observed something new with it or did something new with the seeds, now we need to transplant them outside I think!

Thursday and Friday the mornings were in the 60s so we did a bit of school outside!! Both K and 4th are learning about the founding fathers and settlers and the constitution, like the fact that the 13 colonies wanted to be 13 countries they didn’t want to unite but after much discussion they made the constitution so they could join taxes and military etc. The US constitution is one of the oldest, lasting over 200yrs is a lot! I thought Denmark was the oldest, it’s the oldest Monarchy but the current constitution is similar to the US’s and was written in the mid 1800s.

Friday was a bit colder and it had rained so I chose to read out loud on the porch and let the kids scoot around while I read 🙂

Friday afternoon Solveig decided that her overalls were TOO plain so she used my GO cutter and cut out some templates and air brushed pumpkins, frogs and leaves, she loves to decorate her clothes and has tons of button pins and patches on overalls and jackets and hats!

On to my list!

  1. I am not sure where you find the extra hours in your day? I do not think I could get as much as you have completed this year in a couple of months. My list of started projects is long; at this time, I have to finish two before I take on a new project.
I like that your patterns look fun, but I have to wait and get at least two quilts completed before starting a new one.
Thank you for the exciting newsletter, and see what your family is doing at this time.

    1. aww thanks, well quilting IS my therapy so I make time for it, I also work on multiple projects at once, that keeps me motivated and excited about the next project 🙂
