Picnic pairs simple star blocks with Fifty Four Forty blocks and a checkered border for a lively patchwork design. Originally designed in patriotic fabrics for Independence Day, it takes on a fresh personality in your chosen fabric colorway. Make a Small table runner, Medium quilt, or Large quilt.

Finished sizes: 24" x 48" (Small), 48" x 60" (Medium), and 60" x 84" (Large)

Finished block size: 12" | Skill level: Experienced beginner

Each kit includes the printed Picnic pattern and enough fabric for the quilt top and binding in your selected size and colorway. Backing and batting are not included.

Pattern fabric requirements by size: The original pattern color labels below are a reference; kit fabrics correspond to your selected colorway.

A - Blue Background: 1 yd (Small), 1 3/4 yds (Medium), 2 3/4 yds (Large)

B - Red: 1/8 yd (Small), 1/2 yd (Medium), 3/4 yd (Large)

C - Light Blue Print: 1/4 yd (Small), 1/4 yd (Medium), 1/2 yd (Large)

D - Red Print: 1/4 yd (Small), 1/2 yd (Medium), 1 yd (Large)

E - White Dots: 1/2 yd (Small), 3/4 yd (Medium), 1 1/2 yds (Large)

F - Blue Flags: scrap (Small), 1/4 yd (Medium), 1/2 yd (Large)

Binding: 1/2 yd (Small), 3/4 yd (Medium), 2/3 yd (Large), included in the kit.

Batting needed: 28" x 52" (Small), 52" x 64" (Medium), 64" x 88" (Large), not included.

Backing needed: 30" x 54" (Small), 54" x 66" (Medium), 66" x 90" (Large), not included.

The quilt can be made with the 8" and 12" QUBE sets and the 8" companion Angles set by AccuQuilt. Rotary-cutting directions and templates are always included.

The pattern also includes yardage for other QUBE sets, offering 9 sizes total. These kits contain fabric for the selected Small, Medium, or Large size only.
