NC star Accuquilt modern table topper quilt

I finished this table topper in March I think, but forgot to show it!

In EQ8 I designed this small table topper with my spring FQ club fabrics a while ago, then for this quilt I printed it and the yardage and followed that.

I had scraps of leftover yardage in grey, black and white

Then I cut all the pieces with the NC star Accuquilt die

the NC star die is a BOB die, that means you can cut out all the pieces for the block on this board at the same time.

You have to subcut and fanfold fabrics to fit, but it sure is a time saver!

Here I was able to cut out everything for one block and lay all the pieces on there and run it thru my Go BIG in one swoop!

and VOILA! I have all the pieces cut out, AND the dog ears are cut off too so it’s easy to line up everything perfectly when sewing them together!!

I then finished the block and added borders to it, it finishes 20″ x 20″

I long arm quilted a dense feather design all over it in white thread, I think it looks very modern 🙂

I used a solid charcoal fabric for the back and the quilting looks awesome on the back!

I made and designed this quilt for Accuquilt when they released the die

Plus I had played around in EQ8 and came up with other ideas as well.

a fun die to try!
