Today my mother-in-law is turning 93!

We all call her “grandma”- even me, it’s kind of funny because then at doctor’s offices they’ll pick up on it and ask if she wants her granddaughter in there or whatever and I have to explain that I’m just the daughter in law. Anyways, both my in-laws are doing ok, they are living on their own but getting old, so I grocery shop for them, and take them to appointments, and if it’s just for her, Dan has to come along and sit with his dad as grandpa has dementia and might wander off, or trip and fall like he did over a week ago where he fell in the kitchen and hit his head on the kitchen counter and got a cut and a black eye. She’s a saint for dealing with all that and still cooks and does light cleaning, but we all have our limits, right?
