Since January I’ve been sewing along with So Scrappy for the color of the month, I’ve used Accuquilt dies and made a bunch of different blocks using BOB dies.
October was catch up month and it looks like November is too…. I don’t know I’m kind of confused, Maybe I should host a color of the month thing for next year? would any of you join??
I finished this Chinese Lantern quilt where I used the Chinese Lantern die and the 8″ QUBE set for alternate blocks.
I’ve shown the lantern blocks throughout the year, here’s 10 of them
and here’s my ideas from EQ
I finally decided on something close to the bottom sketch and made the alternate blocks
and then the 10 alternate blocks, I tried to sort of match one of the fabrics from each lantern, but it was tricky since it’s been so long
Here’s all of the 20 blocks together
and then I added the sashing and border, the quilt now measures 44″ x 54″
The black fabric got very linty over time, I don’t know why, but it just attracted threads!!
I have no plans for this quilt, maybe I’ll donate it.
