The AccuQuilt Drunkard's Path die makes this tricky block SO easy

The drunkard's path block can be tricky but with the die it's easy!

It cuts out the pieces perfectly PLUS it has notches on the half way point of both pieces, so it's easy to line up when sewing!

Here's some sketches and quilts I've made with different sized Drunkard's path blocks- some I just show the sketches because I lost the pictures

This was a scrappy idea I drew up in EQ8

and I created this quilt from that sketch, with no rules for light and dark, it was all relative to the fabric next to it!

Lots of fun scraps!

It ended up 42" x 55" so for the backing I added a stripe down the middle and notice the scrappy binding!!

The drunkard's path die came with some of the old QUBE expansion sets, but I think people got afraid of the curves so now those two dies are bow tie shapes instead.

You shouldn't be afraid of curves! Try one of the dies and you'll see it's not hard, you just have to go slow!

I love the top two ideas especially. I was looking at my dies the other day and I have a few sizes of this. I must have been planning something at one time. I think I’ll pull those out and give them a try. Thanks friend.
