Out of the dark blog hop

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the somewhat new Beaquilter website. I have moved from a different platform to shopify and in the process LOST all my blog posts from the last 15 yrs!! I have a raw file, but don't know what to do with it, it's SCARY! I know all the pinterest links don't work and old tutorials are gone...

So I need to get out of the dark!

Thanks to Joan for hosting this blog hop!

I love blog hops but they seem to be a "dying breed" but they are still fun, so of course I signed up!

Halloween is NOT really a holiday I like but I let my kids do trick or treating and we do little stuff. I have different reasons for not liking it, first of all I didn't grow up with it in Denmark and second, as a Christian, I think it's evil and there's actually a lot of "witchcraft" people in our area, so I know where NOT to go!

Sorry, I'll get off my high horse now and have a chocolate bar! LOL

For this hop I thought of the typical halloween colors, black, orange and purple.... Purple and orange and my least favorite colors too- gosh I'm sounding judgmental here.... I know those two colors work together, but I just don't gravitate toward those colors in quilt!

So what's left?? Black! I love black and white quilts!!

I designed this quilt in EQ8, it's a storm at sea block that's on-point! so looks quite different!

I used a QUBE set to cut out the pieces, which made it fast and easy!

And I had the top together in no time!

It measures 21" x 38"

Here it is all quilted

The quilt design is called Triangle Maze

Here it is on my dining room table.

I do love the look of this, how it looks almost wavy and then modern with just black and white! Maybe I'll turn it into a pattern?

I guess it's not spooky enough?? Oh well....

I DO have one quilt that's more Halloween in colors and I actually have it hanging in our living room this month!!

It's called Pumpkin Vines and it's a pattern in my shop

It was still fun to make and thanks for coming by!

Sign up for my mailing list on my front page and get emails with updates and sales :)

Enjoy the rest of the blog hoppers!

Pretty quilt and runner. I love the colors you chose.

What a drag to lose all of your posts during the platform transfer; I hope that you’ll be able to figure out how to recover at least some of that work. Your new TR is beautiful; black and white is nice for nearly every occasion.

Oh what a bummer to loose all your posts….such a night mare. I love the table runner you made, just perfect!

Love your Black and White Halloween quilt. No problem that it’s not a holiday you enjoy but you made the very best of it. Very sorry to hear about the loss of your years of blog files.

Your table runner is beautiful. Love that pattern. Your pumpkin quilt is very lovely, too. So glad you decided to join this blog hop, even if it’s not your favorite holiday. Projects don’t need to be all spooky and witchy, as you proved with your beautiful pumpkin quilt. Thanks for sharing.

So sorry you lost all your blog posts. Wish I could help you, but I don’t know what to do with that raw file either. Maybe your host could help? Cute quilts. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing. So sorry that moving to another platform made you loose all those blog entries. :(
