We’re in October already!? time flies, I know that from now on, we often get really busy, Solveig’s birthday is in a few weeks, then Halloween (though I don’t like the holiday, but we’re doing a church thing) then in November both Anja and Dan have a birthday, then Thanksgiving and then Christmas and Bjorn’s graduation!
So last weekend was “interesting”….. We all watched hurricane Ian hit Florida and I texted friends in Northern Florida and the day after they said they didn’t even get rain!! Then the hurricane turned in the Atlantic and went to the Carolinas! This was the sunset the night before, it was beautiful!
The next day the storm came here and we lost power at 4.30! and it was out for 25hrs!!
Dan and I had a conference at church all day Saturday so we left Solveig home with the girls and some of her friends came over for a bit too and hung out, they had no power either, what are kids going to do without electronics???
The girls decided to start decorating for fall in their rooms so they got out some of my Accuquilt dies and paper and felt and had a bit of fun!
(You bet i made THEM clean it all up too!)
