Not much to show this week, except Anja started Martial arts and she’s testing for some “stripes” I think for her belt, she’s in the lower group with a friend and they “stripe- up” after 4 classes, it’s not until they are older that they actually TEST for belts. I don’t think she really cares, and I don’t know how I feel about it either, I don’t believe in giving a participation trophy. It’s something to do and exercise, maybe she’ll get into it and KICK SOME BUTT when she gets older!? LOL
we have ONE day left of homeschooling (plus math which they are both behind on, so I’ll have them do a little bit over the summer)
Anja’s last science project was the classic VOLCANO! with baking soda and vinegar and here the kit provided a red dye too so it was really neat to see!
My mom in DK has been sick again but she’s at least at some in-between nursing home and they are applying for a permanent spot somewhere, no idea where it will be or how long it takes.
My in-laws are ok, driving each other crazy I think and then we come to the rescue with either food or help or whatever….. and I take them to the store or doctor’s appointments, the benefit of homeschooling is that I can do that!!
