Bjorn decided to go back to college on my BIRTHDAY! instead of Friday because they were predicting 4-6″ of snow then, later it changed to a dusting, then it changed to 1-3″, so he quickly packed up his car and left and then it took him 5hrs to get there!! poor guy, but he got there safely in the end.
The girls made me this birthday Bee cake! a modified version of my Danish layer cake, we didn’t have the cherry wine to drizzle on, so they used cranberry juice, also the store was out of raspberry preserves, so we used strawberry jelly instead, it was still great!
Friday night the snow finally came and this is what we woke up to this morning! We played in it a bit- in 18 degrees! wasn’t too bad because there was no wind. I’m sure it’ll all melt this afternoon!
Since Bjorn moved out, we emptied his room and Sonja is going to move into his room so hubby is painting it this weekend- we’ll get Anja a new bed too and get rid of the bunk bed-which are now separated, but keep a spare mattress so when Bjorn comes home, he’ll get some place to sleep and we cam move the girls together again, we’ll see how it works out, but Bjorn was fine with it and I think glad to be away !from home again- ahh, all part of growing up!
