Boo-tiful table runner

Did you see this Boo-tiful table runner on Accuquilt’s blog?

As you may know, my family doesn’t celebrate Halloween, but when I got the spider web block I couldn’t resist making a small table runner, and I added the word “Boo” just to make it more festive :)

I started with black, orange and this purple fabric with pumpkins on it
and of course the spiderweb die!

I cut out 8 sets of each (with fabrics folded so 4 Right + 4 Wrong side up) of the orange and purple fabrics

Then I sewed them together, having the notches be on the same sides

and I used black and cut out the kite shape and sewed those on.

Then sewed together into block sections

And then the blocks, two two blocks are mirror imaged of each other

Then I prepped and cut out a capital B and two lower case O letters in the purple print

and then added these to a 6 1/2” x 12 1/2” orange rectangle and applique around each letter

and sew it in the middle of the blocks

I quilted a basic meandering and added orange binding

So BOO!!
(This was from my gym’s FB page recently)
