2018 QUBE QAL block 38

qube qal38
it’s the last block for the QAL (well for the quilt center) there’s still 2 blocks for the border (but those are optional.
This block is half size 1/2 and you need 2 of them!
(alternate block below)
You’ll need dies from the QUBE and the angles set dies #5 and #16
and fabrics B and C (it’s ok if there’s not much contrast) but if you want to swap out colors, that’s ok too Winking smile
with die #5 cut out (2) of each fabric
and the same with die #16

Sew the small triangles to the short angled side of #16 trapezoids in opposite fabrics of course (2 of each set)

Then sew blocks together with opposite sets like this. iron the seams open, notice my 8” (4”) blocks I used scraps

sew the two blocks together like this

I wanted to show that if you turn one block it creates a different look, totally up to you!

If you don’t have the angles set, you can cut out #5 triangles instead and just create HSTs (so cut out 8 of each)
