More than irish chains with links

After last week’s Machine Embroidery Blog hop.

(There’s still time to comment for the giveaway!)

I just loved the scissor holders and HAD to make one – more later!?

I loved the owl here, it’s SEW cute!!

I also really wanted the cup cake pin cushions!

I sent one to my pincushion swap partner for November- you can look here too and soon I’ll have sign ups for round2 (Dec and Jan)

I’m really loving ALL these 3D things you can make with an embroidery machine! I want more more more Smile with tongue out

Last week I did receive my pin cushion in the mail from my swap partner!

I cute leopard print with roses and a mini Ninja- hung him on my long arm.

Here’s Sonja pretending to long arm, she did have her hands on the handles before I took the picture

In 3 weeks is the Chatham Artist Studio Tour that I’m part of for the first time, so I’m trying to finish up projects to be able to sell, big and small Smile

Here’s the bargello table runner I started a while ago and just needed to quilt it, I used my domestic to do the straight lines and a walking foot.

My Daughter went to a birthday party yesterday, so I made this dress for the birthday girl

and embroidered the name on the bodice

Guess what this binding roll is for!?

With this title Winking smile

strippy christmas label

I designed it in EQ stitch and embroidered it on my Brother machine

Here’s the QUILT!

I quilted feathers and swirls ( a customer favorite)

a strippy backing too, I LOVE this one!

and one more Christmas related item, the “stupid” tree skirt/mat I finally made the binding for it and attached it, those angles were tricky!

I got THIS in the mail this weekend! love this thread rack, now I want 2 more for the embroidery threads and maybe my long arm cones- it’s just so pretty looking at the spools hanging like this Smile

and speaking of “pretty”

took some fall pics friday Winking smile

scrappy chains

If you know me well, you would have guessed that I have a lot of blocks done! and you’d be right Smile I’m almost done with the blocks!!

still have the border rectangles to sew together 2 and 2.

I found that when I used these as leaders and enders, I wanted to sew the squares together for the 4 patches all at once for one block (so 4 x 2squares together) and often I’d throw in the square for the HST too just to keep it together, then go to the iron and iron my project I was working and continue, so next time I ironed I ironed 4 halves of the four patches and cut the slit in the HST blocks and ironed those and trimmed, so it was easy to get ahead!

Have any of you worked on them?

Those scissor holders are so cute - such a great Christmas present and the scrappy quilt is so nice. All the best with the studio tour.

LOVE your strippy quilt! Looks like you're going to have some quilting help in a few years. ; ) By the way, I took the plunge and purchased EQ7. Joanne's has it on sale online for $119.69 plus I got free shipping. How could I pass up that deal? Now I'm just hoping I'll be able to figure out how to use it. Still waiting for it to ship.

How do you like the essential threads? Do you piece or machine quilt with them? I find them to be very linty.
