quilted snowmen

I woke up this morning determined to quilt the snowmen table runner
today is also thursday and my daughter has gymnastics in the afternoon where my son and I just sit in the car and wait so I HAD been bringing this blue work to work on while waiting, now I'll have the binding to work on this afternoon.

I pretty much copied what the picture showed in the pattern on how to quilt it.
a curve from corner to corner on the diamond blocks inside and out.
the white part inbetween had sort of a stretched out skinny feather,
then echo lines on main part as a filler

yesterday I made a really scrappy backing, I have NO fabric left from this kit!
several people also asked me where I got this kit from ( and the beehive pillow I made)
I bought it at sassy packs here

I've been updating you that I was working on these pineapple blocks as leaders and enders, these are just the first 4 that are done, I'll leave you guessing about how it turns out for now :-)

Did I show you my BOARD on the back of my door?
it's where I write down quilts in progress that are close to being done:
measurements of the top, if I have batting for it, how big the backing is and if it's ready to quilt.
the B in a circle is if I've made binding for it already.

a few weeks ago I also received a package in the mail from QUILTS BEYOND BORDERS
they sent me two quilt tops and backs for me to quilt and send back to them as a donation.
More about their cause right here
I've quilted for them a few times before and never know what I will get in the package when it gets here, so it's always fun to see.

here I quilted a large meandering then went backwards and echoed it like a large ribbon.
(I have ONE more from them I need to quilt soon)

Love the quilted snowmen.

Your board idea is wonderful too. I think I'm going to steal the idea to help keep me organized and on track. I don't have anymore UFO's and don't want any more to re-appear:)

Thank you so much for sharing your source for that darling pattern! I'm excited that it'll soon be headed my way. I love your idea to keep track of current projects on a dry erase board. I usually jot that information down on a piece of paper and then I lose track of said piece of paper. :)
