portfolio

Solveig was invited to a classmate’s birthday party last weekend and just like her, this girl is into the Warrior book series (it’s about clans of cats) so we came up with a portfolio for her, I appliqued a calico cat by Accuquilt and used embrilliance to applique it down and embroider her name too.

AND I used batiks from Island Batik, a bit from last year’s batiks and some leftover from the Valentine’s bundle I got this year.

During construction I also used some fancy stitches on my machine and stitched in the ditch with fancy stitches before appliqueing the cat

hopefully she’ll get some use out of it Smile

I keep wanting to make myself something like that, to hold my notebook. Everyone else's stuff gets made, not stuff for me.

Very cute. I'm going to look into that series. My daughter might like it too.
