Crazy for Daisies in McCalls Quick Quilts

Print

I’m in McCall’s Quick Quilts October/ November 2013

Cover-200px[5]

“Crazy for Daisies” using fabrics from the Mellow Yellow collection by Red Rooster fabrics

Here’s the article about it online

Crazy-for-Daisies-flat-600px

I had some extra fabrics and made a matching pillow which is a BONUS pattern here

Crazy-for-Daisies-Pillow-300px

You also saw how I used my leftover scraps to make a  mini tumbler baby quilt here

( I can’t remember why I had so much extra fabrics, I think we rounded up the yardage to be sure- either way I’m thankful for the fabrics- and it wasn’t THAT much extra, but still…)

And of course to McCall’s too! Winking smile

Here’s some EQ sketches

First the tumbler

Then the crazy daisy pattern

and matching pillow

And I made my own daisy to embroider for the quilt label

As always I have a magazine to give away.

Just be a follower and comment below, you can also say if you subscribe to McCall’s or not, and if so which one you get.

One comment total.

I’ll pick a winner next Monday the 26th

What a cute quilt Bea! It looks like it would be fairly easy to do too - a definite bonus in today's busy world :*) I don't currently receive any magazines, so I'd love to win this copy! Thanks for the giveaway and congrats on your publication!

Congrats on another published pattern! I don't know how you stay so productive as well as involved with your young family! I no longer have any quilt magazine subscriptions - just pick up an issue every now and then when grocery shopping. Thanks for a chance to win a copy!

Congrats on another published quilt, Bea. This does look like a fun, quick quilt to make. I can see it would be cute with all kinds of different focus fabrics.

Bea,
The quilt is great and the fabrics exciting. I like what you did with the leftovers, too. I would like to win the magazine. I do not subscribe to either McCall's magazine, I usually try to pick one up if I get to a store. Thanks.

Congratulations! I don't currently subscribe to McCall's. There are so many good quilt magazines out there, but lately I tend to get most of my quilting news online.

All the quilts you've created with these fabrics are so cheerful looking with that yellow. Very pretty. I was already going to have my husband pick up this magazine for another pattern I'd already seen so now I have two reasons. yay. Of course, if I won a copy then I have that money to spend on something else. :)

I am a follower of your blog of course, and I do subscribe to McCall's Quilts but not to the McCall's Quick Quilts magazine.

What a great pattern!! I needed an idea for a grandson's graduation quilt. And the pillow pattern is truly a "bonus". I'm a Quick Quilts subscriber and it hasn't arrived yet. So I like the preview in your blog.

Thanks.
