Done with scrappy trip and another dress

I finished the binding on the scrappy trip around the world quilt over the weekend- all scrappy binding too!

june 214

Of course Sonja had to do her inspection as usual!

june 212

I also did a scrappy backing- I tried to pick my “ugly” fabrics that were maybe an OOPS buy….. good, they are GONE!

june 215

The quilt looks great folded up

june 218

Do you need some green scraps mommy?

june 219

No!? how about black or brown?

june 216

I started and prepped the next owl block for the hidden forest pattern, I’m almost done stitching them down too, goes pretty fast compared to SOME of the Ahhhh’s

june 221

Saturday my husband set up the pool, while it was being filled we all got in it!

june 231

Now I didn’t have any swim diapers for Sonja, so she just wore a regular one, look how big it got! Guess how much it weighed!?

june 241

Over 2lbs!! wow that’s a lot of water in there!

june 242

A diaper weighs 1oz!

Love the Scrappy Trips--makes me want to work on the one I started in January.
Now that's a full diaper!!
Must be an adventure sewing with Sonja in the room. : )
Your girls look so cute in their matching dresses. I used to do that for my girls when they were small, but they were only 13 months apart and everyone thought they were twins.

Your scrappy quilt is beautiful! I think Sonja is saying "Oh such pretty colors Mommy!". OMG, you are a nut! (I mean that in a good way.) You weighed the diaper. LOL Too funny.

My Mom made my older sister and I matching dresses once. We had professional pictures done and I ended up wearing the same dress twice in the pictures ... once wearing the original she made for me and then a few years later I wore the hand me down (the one that was originally my older sisters). What's funny is my Mom never realized I was in the same dress twice until I mentioned it to her when I was an adult!

I wouldn't delete your finished projects from the list. Put them all at the bottom.

Hi Bea: I'm just beginning Hidden Forest quilt. Are you hand appliquéing the blocks or sewing them down by machine? Just wondering....
Also, I would put the finished ones on your list at the bottom as someone else suggested....arden
