I started cutting into the fabrics for quilt #4 for McCall's
These colors are just so much fun!
I cut out 9 x 99 2 1/2" squares = 891 :-)
Looks good in a circle like this
first step done and I don't think I can show you any more....
okay, just ONE more pic :-)
One way I got to sew some more- having Sonja strapped to me, killed my back though, so I had a small pillow in my lap and she "sat" on that so the weight was off my shoulders/back
Yesterday my 1st daughter Solveig turned 8 years old, we had a little party for her.
A friend of mine started a tradition with her kids, which we stole/ adopted, each person gets a candle to put in the cake and while they do it, they say something nice about the birthday person, it's very sweet! My son didn't know what to say, and Solveig yelled- don't you want to say I'm your favorite sister?? but being a sensitive guy, he said, that wouldn't be fair to Sonja.... awww.
Opening presents! tissues flying everywhere!
Here's some Sonja pics :-)
someone found her FIST!!

Happy Birthday to Solveig! I love the rainbow fabrics.
Oh, I strapped on my babies that way too, as did my daughter. The babes love it!
Fabulously yummy fabric choices!!
The rainbow colors just jump out to me. I love color, color, color; and that's exactly what you have. It will be interesting to see what you are making.
Love the scrappy rainbow photos...beautiful! As is Sonja!!
Your son is a smart boy at a young age. Happy belated birthday to your daughter Solveig. Those blue eyes on baby girl are so bright and taking it all in.
Those rainbow colors are gorgeous. Caught me attention right away.
