This week I finished quilting a customer's ohio state quilt.
here's a blurry closeup, it's feathers and swirls- she almost always chooses this pattern.
My son is almost done with another batch of rock polishing!
pretty rocks!
and THESE came in the mail from Robert Kaufman this week! drool.... drool...
it's for the next 2 quilts for McCall's. BUT two colors were missing in each pile so now I have to wait another week, I did decide today to wash what I have and maybe catch up on some cutting this weekend, we'll see.
And these pin cushions came from heather, very cute! love the little bird.
I finally finished the binding for 3 quilts I'm giving away this weekend to a lady from our church. (Shh!) She's a grandmother and is raising her 3 grandkids, plus she just "got" a house from habitat.
Housewarming is sunday, the youngest already got a quilt when she was born, but the other two kids didn't and then one for her as well.
My kids picked out quilts from my stash!
This Dr seuss one is for the boy
quilted an allover pointy swirl
funky backing!
isn't this bug fabric great?? thought it was perfect when I ordered it online
This piggy one is actually an "old" quilt, I think the label reads that I made it in 2010.
I named it "when pigs fly"
this is for the girl
I quilted eyes and wings on it
and bubbles or pearls and feathers on the two borders
"don't throw pearls before swine"
also a scrappy backing
this is for the grandma, the quilt my neighbor gave me that's all hand pieced!
again I quilted a pointy swirl all over it, the backind and binding is a solid pale orange
Now this whole week I had wanted to make a mini quilt. or something fast. and on the fall blog hop I saw the cutest little quilts with mini tumblers, so I decided to go into EQ and create a layout for a small tumbler and print it out, Sonja needs a mini quilt to cover her in her car seat, so around 20" and I found that I had another charm pack left over from the other quilt I made her, so they'll match!
here's the top done, I MIGHT quilt it today, we'll see.
I do have a few customer quilts to work on, but I like to work on personal things over the weekend!

So good of you to gift those three quilts! I'm sure they will be loved and appreciated. Wish I had a stash of such quilts. : )
Love the little tumbler--so pretty!
Awwww, Bea! Your quilts are awesome! I think the Lorax is my favorite! Looks like your having a blast!
Awesome gift of kindness from you, but I really wouldn't expect anything else, Bea! Do you think you might have time to quilt an 80x68 done in Twirl fabric in November? I am currently piecing it and moving in a few weeks. Just let me know if it's doable, and if not, not to worry! Have a blessed Sunday with your church, family, and friends.
