BOW and customer's elephant quilt

This is my current women of the bible -BOW- HAGAR!

I chose blue for the blue sky, when she was asked to flee.

And the leaf applique I think refers to the bush where she put her son Ishmael under.

Then the middle part, as part of the bundle of FQs from CT fabrics, this fabric with birds on it, I thought was fitting, made me think, how WE as humans worry about eveything- our next meal, money etc. Birds don't!! God provides for them.

I think this is the verse

Mat 8:20

And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air [have] nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay [his] head.

 

 

this weekend I wanted to make something small, so I started a few mug rugs, I was also thinking of mug rugs for my kids teachers this year for Christmas - like I did last year.

the DK one will be mine or maybe send it to my mom :-)

 

Everything is all prepped and ready, kind of silly to long arm these, we'll see.

 

Yesterday I quilted my neighbor's elephant quilt, a pattern from quiltmaker I think, she's working on the penguin one next, all the animals are so cute!

 

I just did basic meandering in light blue all over.

 

And these are 3 quilts for a friend from church (shh!)

I will take more pics when all 3 are done, binding is done on 2 of them the last one is about 3/4 gone with the binding.

 

I know SOMEONE wants to see more baby pics :-)
