I haven't done much quilting or sewing lately.
Actually, since I found out Sonja it breech, I've been feeling down and sad that I might have another C section. the doctor didn't feel it was safe to do an external VERSION, but this week I have been going to a chiropractor a few times, I don't think she has turned but just getting my hips and stuff aligned is good- I've never been to a chiropractor before, so it's all new to me.
Two days ago there was a msg from the doctors office that they want to schedule the C section, just in case, I haven't called them back..... I don't want to :-(
The doctor told me he's willing to let me go into labor and wait as long and possible to see if she turns, but he's not hopeful- I AM!
so anyways, just worrying about all this and feeling huge and uncomfortable I haven't been in my sewing room for a week and had a really bad day yesterday, so my husband told me that maybe I should try and do SOMETHING today, just to keep my mind off of things and do what I love doing.
Of course I did have a "plan" for something to bring to the hospital- haven't packed clothes for me or Sonja yet, but now I have a portable applique project :-)
This is what I worked on today.
remember I had mentioned this pattern before?
I picked out the chipmunk block and prepped all the pieces for it.
isn't he cute?? though I never cared for the colors on the pattern, but I picked a black background and then mottled "muted" colors from connecting threads.
here's the colors!
now I can't wait to get started on this one- 38 little applique pieces plus embroidery for the eyes and whiskers.
I had to put in a pic of Peanut too :-)
and handy hubby made this lego table for the kids, so that when SOMEONE is old enough to crawl/walk around she won't get into the tiny lego pieces.
I will keep you posted- 12 more days to go until my due date.

I am sorry you are uncomfortable and stressed right now. Everything will turn out just perfect. :)
I remember how difficult the last days of pregnancy are, I am sending good thoughts your way that all goes well for both of you. I love your little squirrel, I have all the fabrics and pattern for the same quilt. It is interesting to see how different one pattern can look.
I feel for you, my second child was turned the wrong way. I had to lay on the couch over the front, kind of upside down (the midwife recommended it), and thankfully he turned in time. Just get as much sleep as you can now, I know you remember those newborn days! Marianne
Good luck to you--I hope the baby turns for you!
That little squirrel is so cute--great color choices.
What a wonderful table your DH made for the Legos. Would have loved one of those when my boys were into that stuff!
Oh my I can see why you are concerned. I do hope that the baby will turn. I too remember those last days of waiting.
Keeping my fingers crossed that she will turn around. I hope all goes smoothly for both of you no matter which way delivery ends up going.
The block is adorable and I love the color choices....And Peanut is adorable even without trying:)
I love that pattern and that will be a nice block to work on if you have time and feel like it.
that lego table is such a great idea.
we are all pulling for you hang on in 2 weeks she will be here and all will be worth it
I just found your blog while searching for quilting ads on CL. You do amazing work! Good luck with your little one, she may surprise you, mine did! Looking forward to being inspired!
Bea,
I am so praying for you that Sonja will turn her little body around and that all will work out well for both of you. Sorry you're having some hard, bad times right now. Good for your husband to give you some wonderful counsel and how cool is that table he made for the kids! Wow! Your squirrel/chipmunk block is sooooo cute! You are amazing! Praying for you, Bea!

Hey, I sure hope you find time to answer this sometime in the next year, but no hurry since you now have a new baby girl in arms.
But did you do the ricky tims/glue method for that??!! Don't the layers get too thick? I am still learning...
