seasonal trees and appliqueing lotus quilt

Last night I decided to work on the four seasons tree blocks

here's the pieces all cut out

laying out the pieces, the only one I wasn't sure about was the summer one, but I kept it

here's the blocks sewn together

playing with a different layout, I don't like it, looks like the swaztika, ugh...

another look, but don't like that either

here's the top sewn together, now I don't know if I should just keep it like that or make a simple border or a different border....

Finished set#2 of the pineapple quilt blocks that I've been using as leaders and enders.

I finished doing the button hole stitch on half of the flowers on the lotus quilt, oh boy, it's a bear! to fight with it on the machine, I'm so used to blocks where it's easy to turn, not so on borders, but it's still worth it I know!

#14 Elenar Burns star Go! die- pieces cut for a scrappy look- SCRAPPED! added pieces back on shelf

#15 aqua owl- DONE! and made a pair of hotpads too for a neighbor

# 16 geese in a ring- DONE!

# 17 Bonnie Hunter ORCA mystery - all clues done, piecing it

# 18 Little twister blue- SCRAPPED

#19 green, red, yellow flower quilt- top done, just taking forever removing the papers

# 20 small embroidered trees (4 blocks) - made into a top, may need borders etc.

# 21 spring swap blocks- got plans but no background fabrics ordered yet

# 22Making memories embroidered panel- needs to be made into a cute wall hanging

# 23 black, red white asian quilt- ready to be quilted, no backing yet

# 24 color block swap- top is done, done and quilted!

# 25 fall leaf blocks swap- lots of blocks, ideas, but no plan yet

# 26 Baby gingham dog boy quilt- half way hand sewing binding onto the back

#27- a doll apples quilt- DONE!

#28(jan 2012) need to quilt 2 donation quilts- done and mailed off

#29(jan) batik pastel kit won at quilt show

#30 (jan) wonky block- mailed off DONE

#31 (feb) jelly roll quilt- top done, backing made and binding made, ready to quilt

#32 (feb)5 x 1yards of beige/ black batiks- may make into a drunkard's path quilt
