what to do in 2012

I've seen several posts lately about new years resolutions,
I don't do those, but I don't mind planning what to do in the next year.

These are just pictures of stuff I have around the craft room, NOT including the fabrics I JUST ordered yesterday for a baby quilt and other IDEAS I have.

First is this embroidery I finished and sewed the border on it last night, I just need to quilt it and sew binding on- not too hard.

You may have seen my progress on my lotus quilt here and here and here
I cut out two flowers and will play with a vine and leaves and such and SOME point

On my shelf was this hand appliqued table runner, the top is done and I did have this odd blue fabric for the backing, but yesterday I ordered more blue, so I might use that instead.
more about the runner here

remember this one? it's the star die by eleanor burns using the Go! die, I had made two and somehow they didn't line up right when I sewed them together to be a runner, but I cut down the middle and this is actually turned into a pillow already, I don't think there's a pillow this size, so maybe I just have to stuff it.

my pastor's wife gave me scraps of this heart fabric and I've made this tiny star table topper before in different fabrics, not "loving" the dark in the middle, but okay... it's ready to quilt.

A bunny runner kit from connecting threads, the kit included lots of bright colored fabrics, and I LOVE brights, but this was too much, so I put those aside and made it more simple, it's ready to quilt and then I will sew on buttons for eyes I think

another kit from connecting threads is this pile, I don't intend on making the kit, but what can I make with the fabrics?? hmmm, time to play with EQ7

This is a needle turn project I've been working on since last summer, I bought this cute kit at the symposium in raleigh

this is what it will look like, it's really CUTE!

Pineapple blocks! I saw this in a magazine and redesigned it into blues and black and white, all the papers are printed and marked

and all the fabrics are cut and ready too and a few started, could be a good leaders and enders project...??

This is almost done I think, I just got tired of it.
all fabrics are from connecting threads, and I DID use it as a leaders and enders project for a while, not sure why I stopped....

this is what it will look like- No borders, makes it more modern looking that way I think...

This is a BOM for pine tree, it has this sheer "fabric" and then needle turn, shouldn't take too long since it's just one block.

and THIS!! I filled out the application and have a design already made, just need to order the fabrics and get started :-)

And the snowman runner that's embroidered. I'm working on this almost every night while the kids watch TV I hang out with them and sew.

these were pieces I cut out for a scrappy star using the elenar burns star Go! die, now I don't know...

and of course there's another owl in the works.
(I do have another owl and portfolio set I need to make, for WRAL's Winner, once she emails me back with color choices)

More Geese in a ring blocks to make too, there's 7 total, I've made 2, so 5 left :-)

And we can't forget the ORCA! quilt by Bonnie Hunter

Also I started a twist and turn blue quilt, meant it as a leader and enders project, but I can't really do that, so I think I have to do it all in one shot...

And this dreaded flower quilt, it's paper pieced and when I made it, I didn't know that the stitch length should be reduced to 1.5, so the paper is NOT coming off very easily

Maybe I should have removed the papers too before sewing the blocks together, lesson learned, this is maybe 2 yrs old.

A while ago I embroidered these little trees, as a seasonal thing, I hope I can get that little fold out of them, they all have it at the bottom.

and blocks from a swap, this was the spring swap, I'm not loving some of the blocks, especially mine, so I may toss those and not feel bad about it, again I listed ideas here

in the pile was this NICE embroidered block too, now I started drooling over NICER embroidery machines, SIGH... This would make a nice wall hanging though, wouldn't it?

I've shown these before too, the aisan black and white and red blocks.

Color blocks from a swap as well, yesterday I posted that I ordered black and blue fabrics to make a quilt with these, so that's some progress! here is the link

and a fall leaf block swap pile, the blocks are BIG, so either it will be a huge quilt or two smaller ones, I don't know yet

so, you think I have enough to do for a while??
and I can't forget about customer quilts too!
well better get sewing to catch up on this list!

Bea, you have made me feel a little better about my PHD's ( projects half done) LOL.
My list isn't quite that long -yet.
I love your blue applique ( I have a Baltimore quilt that still needs the borders done), and I love the snowman stitchery- I think that was one I was admiring at Bird Brain designs? I need to finish off some things this coming year, I'm even going to try and attempy one small project each month to build up a stash of presents for next Christmas instead of my usual last minute panic. :)
