more owls, orca quilt progress and christmas gifts

I'm taking a lunch break and figured I'd show these owls I JUST finished ( I told you I would!)

One of the left was an order from a customer, purple, teal and black... I didn't have anything teal but looked for the darkest turqouise I had and used that.

the one on the right is for my mom, the background fabrics are from some fabrics she brought some DK a few years ago and I made a quilt for her out of it and matching fabrics, she told me the other day that SHE DIDN'T get an owl yet, so here it is :-) she loves burgundy too.

I was wrapping up gifts for my friend and her husband and new daughter in DK(quilts for MOM and daughter- but the husband... I didn't know I was stumped)

then for thanksgiving he started emailing me asking for recipes for a tradition thanksgiving dinner, he's big into football so he wanted that day to be all american!

so yesterday I went to the grocery store and picked up these items so then he can pretty much re-create his own thanksgiving dinner again (maybe sooner than thanksgiving next year)

I tried to pick things they can't get in DK, maybe they can get the marshmellows, but just to make sure, these are the real deal!

here's my orca #3 blocks all done! I'm still thinking the blues are too pale, but we'll see.

I COULD remake 350 blocks..... or maybe NOT!
