It's lunch time so I figured I'd post again and I'm getting tired of all this black and white!
First let me show you the BIG quilt that I finally finished the binding on.
this thing is so big it had to drag on the floor when I hung it on the design wall
large applique ribbon in the middle block
a pretty simple rail fence block
I quilted a sort of copy of a panto I had seen online.
hand done ribbons and swirls and hearts.
Now back to the BARCODE quilt.
it's hard to see, but with a green color pencil, I drew vertical lines down every OTHER square,
this way it shows me how they go together 2 and 2, it's 27 blocks wide. So I always had one leftover white block.
I went to TOWN and fed the dog :-) this pile behind the machine kept growing and growing.
I also had the ruler on the chart to check which row I was working on
See, the piles with the numbers and pins are still together, black on the bottom
(hard to tell with a black table
here's my white left over pile
And for this morning's LISTENING pleasure I chose little bit of
Shania,
Jethro,
Sting,
Eno and
Bjork
right next to the radio is my BOX of owls and baskets and portfolios ready for the craft show
Here's all the sets of 2 sewn together, I cut them apart and didn't worry about the ORDER which I sewed them together
Then I lined them up and ironed the seams apart and sorted into 3 piles
white/white
black/white
black/black
Now I made it half way thru the pile then I needed a break.
I tidied up the TV room and the kids bedrooms and did a few other things, tomorrow I'm going to asheboro Randolph county quilt show and saturday my in-laws are visiting so I figured I'd already tidy up a bit.
