just a few things

I'm just showing a FEW things :-)

First here's the audio book I'm listening too, it's pretty scratched up though, so I've had to skip a few tracks, but it's hilarious, I've listened to a few others from this author and they are FUNNY!

I also finished quilting this PINK ribbon quilt and today I made the binding, I hope I have enough, I should have but just with a few inches to spare...

I was playing around with EQ 7 yesterday and looked in the book again about Patch draw and there's another feature where you start off with the outline of a basic block and then build from there, well I started a kaleidoscope block. Anyways I designed this and printed it and traced onto freezer paper and used a method I've seen recently about scoring the freezer paper and folding it back and never actually sewing onto it, it's an AWESOME way to do it and no paper ripping at the end, though sometimes my machine had a hard time with the foot running over the freezer paper on one side and nothing on the other, hard to explain, anyways, this is the block.

Then I looked, it's hard to tell but I made an OOPSIE one piece of fabric wasn't big enough so it doesn't cover all the way, OH OH. well good learning

I also finished stuffing two more owls for this multicultural fair at UNC tomorrow, I'll be there with DOQ quilt guild and try to sell my owls and portfolios :-)

I just HAD to remake that block and tried again with different scraps of fabrics, turned out CUTE!

these are some layouts I did with this block design. The purple ones are a LITTLE different.

I ALSO finally ordered fabrics for a BARCODE quilt for my husband.
I saw this AD in WIRED magazine I think it was, where it showed a barcode from radio shack and how different people made something cool from radio shack parts and one picture was a light wall that looked like the barcode, so I thought! Hey, that would be a COOL quilt too.
So here's the layout
the squares will be 3" I believe so the whole quilt will be 96" square, good for hanging on the wall in his office to have some PADDING when he listens to music- he's a BIG music buff etc.
It's NO surprise, he knows it's coming :-)
yesterday fabric.com had kona cotton and quilt backing fabrics on sale, so I just HAD to order the fabrics, maybe I'll get it done by christmas!?
I don't have an iPhone so I can't scan this, can anyone??
let me know

AWESOME idea! Love it. For future reference, if you can make a barcode into a picture file (like .jpg), you can google "free barcode reader" and upload the pic of the barcode. I've done that before. It works with your black & white layout above - the barcode is for this address http://www.radioshackdiy.com/a1 - looks like it's a video of the making of that light wall ... Very cool.
